'Spill' is a series of works that involve laying
out semi-impermeable and impermeable substrates and onto them spilling
puddles of ink and water. I
walk away and come back a week later; I add more. The end traces the history
of this sequence of evaporations—the interaction between ink, water,
air, wind, heat. 'Spill' makes explicit the implicit process in the history
of painting where there is always a wet and eventual dry state.
